The Christina piercing is placed at the bottom of the ‘V’ of the mons pubis where the outer labia meet at the top. It is more of a modern piercing and started in the early to mid 1990’s women had begun to be more self aware and it became increasingly popular for women to shave and decorate this area.
This piercing is somewhat like a navel piercing and can be done with a jewelled navel stud which looks very attractive. However, this piercing can be hard to heal and can reject depending on the anatomy of the person and placement. If a woman is larger and carries some extra weight then the mons can bulge over the area slightly and many piercers will tell them that they do not have the correct anatomy for this piercing. At Body Pleasure Piercing we have found that this is untrue and that the use of a flexible bar makes it not only possible but it can also help it to heal easily. There are also bars shaped especially for this piercing in titanium. Once healed jewelled navel bars can often be worn or bars with crystals etc.
In 2019 this is a common piercing to do and many women enjoy the look of it. The Christina piercing can put a little bling in an area that many women feel self conscious of.
